We met Dawn only a week before the wedding, and it was a rainy, yucky day, so we decided not to go directly to Elmwood. However, she invited us to her absolutely lovely home in Tyler, and we sat down at the kitchen table like family to plan out the details of the wedding. Dawn even went out of her way BIG TIME to find us an excellent hairstylist and makeup artist who would come to Elmwood the next Saturday (even though it was prom weekend for one high school and a very busy wedding weekend). She made it happen when we couldn’t – we just didn’t know anyone out there. Otherwise we would have had to travel into Tyler from Elmwood to get our makeup and hair done, which would have been pretty stressful. Dawn just does anything and everything you need and thinks of everything you don’t. She had our day of rehearsal down to a “t” in one try, worked with all our selected vendors to ensure all was well, worked with the photographer, DJ, family members, guests, and somehow corralled this big group into a perfect wedding event. Dawn, forever grateful for all that you and your daugher Callan did to make Lauren’s wedding day so perfect. I know you worked hours and hours behind the scenes to make it great. And you did! I cannot recommend anyone else to be your wedding coordinator – no matter where you have your wedding, Dawn Herwood is “the one”. Thank you to Pamela for the introduction – this couldn’t have been done without her.”

She was invaluable help with the Trinity Mother Frances 20th Anniversary Party in October. From Tisa Weiss Hibbs – Dawn helped me plan and host a fabulous 50th Anniversary party for my parents! She researched the venues and dealt with the catering contracts and location agreements. She helped sort through the numerous food, beverage, and cake options, finding the best choices and working within a modest budget in a compressed timeframe. She scanned hundreds of old photos and helped me prepare a wonderful invitation and photo slide show. Dawn arrived early to decorate three large rooms using photos she had framed, fabric, greenery, and various sentimental items (including finding a mannequin to display my mother’s wedding dress from 1963)! She took photos and videos during the event and even assisted with my 95 year old grandmother’s attendance at the party. She also helped book the string quintet and pianist. I can’t say enough great things about the terrific job she did in a very short period of time to make that golden anniversary absolutely magical for my parents and affordable and fun for me!
